Due to illness, the newly appointed Toyota Cheetah Coach, Hawies Fourie will join the team a bit later than he initially would have.  Fourie recently had surgery and was advised by doctors not to start working immediately.

The 2019/20 Guinness PRO14 season kicks off on Friday, 27 September with the opening match between the Toyota Cheetahs and Glasgow Warriors in Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.  

Franco Smith has agreed to coach the team for the first three matches of the season. 

On 27 September against Glasgow Warriors, 5 October against Ulster on 11 October against Munster all in Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein.
