TOYOTA STADIUM TO UNDERGO RE-SOWING OF PLAYING SURFACE

Toyota Stadium, the iconic home of the Toyota Cheetahs, is set to undergo the yearly re-sowing of its playing surface starting Monday, 15 April 2024. This initiative follows the SA Cup match between the Toyota Cheetahs and Eastern Province, scheduled for the weekend.

The re-sowing process is expected to take approximately six weeks from the commencement until the field is ready for play. Consequently, the SA Cup match between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Griquas, slated for Friday, 17 May, will be relocated to an alternative venue which will be communicated soon.

Furthermore, this rejuvenation process is necessary to prepare the field for the highly anticipated Test between the Springboks and Portugal on 20 July 2024.

While the temporary relocation may inconvenience some, it is essential to maintain the standards expected at Toyota Stadium. Fans can rest assured that efforts are being made to minimize disruption.

The management of the Toyota Cheetahs expresses gratitude for the cooperation and understanding of fans and stakeholders during this necessary replanting period.

The Toyota Cheetahs look forward to welcoming fans back to Toyota Stadium upon completing the re-sowing process, ensuring they can continue enjoying exhilarating rugby matches in Toyota Stadium.

END.
