The Free State Rugby Union is proud to host the Women’s First Division final in Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 05 August, about a month after the Currie Cup final.
The Free State Women will take on the SWD Eagirls at 13:00. The day starts early, with gates opening at 11:00, and supporters can take photos with the 2023 Currie Cup trophy and the Cheetah mascot from 11:00-12:40.
Entrance and parking are free, and supporters are urged to arrive early and enter through vehicle gate 5 Kingsway, Waterfront entrance side.
“Our main focus and motivation is winning the final and the relegation to move up to the Premier Division. That is our biggest motivation.” Said Bernice Stryom, Captain of the Free State Women's side.
“The men did motivate us a lot by winning the Currie Cup. We want to celebrate with them if we win the final. We’re all working towards the same goal and dream – that is what is going to bring us success.”
