Rewan Kruger – Scrumhalf
Rewan Kruger is a talented scrumhalf who honed his skills at Grey College before representing Free State Craven Week (2016), SA Schools (2016), and SA U20 (2017-2018).
He made his Toyota Cheetahs debut on 20 November 2021, coming on as a substitute for Enver Brandt on the left wing. In the following match against Baia Mare (Romania), he replaced Tian Meyer in the second half.
His Currie Cup debut came on 15 January 2022 against Griquas in Round 1 of the 2022 Currie Cup Premier Division. He featured in eleven of the thirteen Currie Cup matches as a substitute for Cheetahs captain Ruan Pienaar.
A B.Com Accounting student at Kovsies, Rewan has benefited from learning under Ruan Pienaar, the 38-year-old Cheetahs captain with 88 Test caps and 438 first-class matches to his name.
He was a part of the 2023 Currie Cup-winning squad.
